LIST OF TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED AT:

The Open Nordic VHF Managers Meeting 2006, on June 10th at “Sletten”.

a)                  Minimum requirements for digital QSO's. We need to set up a standard!

b)                 Echolink/IRLP nodes/access points in the bandplans? Like with repeaters it is of some importance to find common frequencies for this type of traffic. Since the packet traffic has decreased it seems obvious to reduce the packet channels and use the frequencies for the above mentioned purpose.
In Germany they use: 144,975 and 144,9625.
In the Nordic area we could also use some of the previous 433 MHz repeater input frequencies: 433,375, 433,350 + ?)

c)                  Digital columns in the Locator toplists? Already introduced in EDR.

d)                 Encourage microwave reporting (during contest) to something similar to the old MS system? (r529 when you have received all OK, and finalizing with rrrrrrrr.)

e)                 Based on input from the open Nordic VHF meetings in Åland and Ånnaboda, - the NRAU meting in 2005 decided to have two common classes in the 50, 144 and 432 MHz NAC:
* Standard class: Max. 100 Watt transmittet output power.
* High power class: More than 100 watt transmittet output power.

f)                   We have also received a proposal to introduce a “real” QRP class in NAC: Max. 10 watt TX output.

g)                 Maximum 9 monthly contests is counted for the accumulated yearly result in the National NACs , BUT – do you have to work all 9 to win?

h)                 Do we need the extensive lists of contest results in our magazines? Some editors would probably prefer to get rid of them. (And put them on the internet!)

i)                    Do we need digital managers anymore? We have APRS, a few DX clusters and hardly any ordinary packet traffic anymore. But what about the future?

j)                    (Very) Brief report from the NRAU meeting and IARU conference in DAVOS.

k)                  Status on:
- Cross checking of NAC logs. Exchange of data between national managers?

- 70 MHz (More and more countries are QRV!)
           - 3,4GHz (Everybody ought to have that band)

- 75,5-76GHz (We need it back!)

- Beacons (And - how do we keep them alive in remote areas?)
- 2 MHz repeatershift on 433 MHz. (Why do SMs still intrude the SAT segment?)

- “Kvartalstesten” (SM agenda point) Clearer rules Nordic test/kvartalstest.

SSA Microwave contest in June.

- Rules in the EDR July Field day (OZ agenda point) Band limitations? No uW? And should we change the power level of the QRP class to 10 watt?

      l)         Any other business?
