Looking at the big crane with its arm reaching for the beam I realized that I probably couldn't turn the beam ! Insteed I went home and in the snow coming down I mounted a 6el yagi on 9m of pipes to raise to the sky. After 3 hours I was QRV leaving only 2 hours of contest. Entering my shack at 18.50 UTC I turned one my Icom and for a while wondering what was broken. But it all was OK , just a static rain peaking at s9+20dB...
