After a lot of preparations we were looking foreward
to
working the contest with the best setup ever from SK0UX.
After 2
weekends with testing, everything should have been
ok... but Murphy showed
up. First rf-stage in the towermounted
transverter broke!
So instead we
had to work with at least 6db of cable-loss,
preamp and pa in the shack.
All things considered and
having slept on it, the result was not
too bad. The antenna seems to work very fine. The narrow
beam
sure helps to get away from the radar and other
qrm.
Nice first qso with SM6VTZ in JO58.
So next month we will
be back with everything working (we hope!)hihi
