Contest Managers remarks:
It has been an interesting job to evaluate the logs from the 2004 IARU
REG1 50MHz contest. It is interesting to receive all the logs and to see all
the effort put into the contest, and the resulting QSO’s.
But it has also been a job with less pleasant moments with logs that
were not so easy to read. Due to lack of discipline in following the rules,
there have been much too much work in checking the logs, and the simple task of
following the rules in producing cover sheets that presents the needed
information, is grossly neglected.
Many logs uses 59 – 59 reports trough out the log, which is not correct
if the report not is 59 – 59, but since it is not possible to verify which end
of the QSO that has the wrong report written I have reluctantly accepted both
logs.
I have also taken the step to disqualify the above mentioned four logs.
It is a must that logs displays at least the information mentioned in the rules
given by IARU REG1, and has the format described either for Paper or electronic
logs.
