Antennas: 1. 6 x 22 el.Y 9.25m boom at 2x3 setup 5.5m apart @ 23m The height @ is always center of the antenna. The expectations looking at Hepburn were low, but..... I came to the location and seen that 6x27 el @50m is completely destroyed by 3 cm ice + 145 km/hour wind. Thanks god the tower survived without a glitch. The 4x19 was damaged - not too badly bat still - lets hope it is not going to get much worse until end of winter. Fortunately 6x22 survived nicely. Also somehow the snow got into our PPA shack and 5 of our GS35b PPAs are damaged. I still do not know what happened... When I have seen this HAVOC I only thought to sit in the car and drive 110 km back to Prague, well I still decided to go on with one antenna only and give out a few points. The internet was also not operational so without ON4KST.... The result is much worse than I would imagine it to be. My worst ever. This year is making all the records - both positive and negative. The propagation was really lousy. I heard DLs were working G0KPW and I could not hear him - first time in a few years ! On the end even SK7MW was only 55 here - usualy a lot over 59 ! There was no activity on the band, even the DLs workable always were not on the radio. Wery unsatisfactory last event in NAC 2008, of quite a succesfull year having finished on TOP spot outside of Scandinavia. I still plan to be in as many rounds in 2009 as possible - I do hope we will fix all the antennas but I doubt it is going to be before MAY 2009. Thanks all for a QSO(s) and hope to meet you in the next year. Merry Xmas and happy new Year + big 73's Jiri OK1RI
